Bring Me the Horizon (BMTH short) is a Deathcore / Metalcore from Sheffield, England. It started when five young people came together from various defunct bands around their local area, in March 2004. His influences range from Norma Jean to Cannibal Corpse.
BMTH began to gain popularity immediately they began to give performances by bands like UK with Zao, The Nothing, Shaped by Fate and Johnny Truant. A large fan base was created with them. Their concerts are filled each time more and more and more busy, no time for anything else.
They acquired their name from a line taken from the movie Pirates of the Caribbean, in which Captain Jack Sparrow (played by Johnny Depp) shouts "Now ... Bring me that horizon. "After slightly changing the original line of 'this' to 'the', was then Bring Me The Horizon the band's official name.
